What this is
The church building runs on an automation system that controls heating, cooling, and equipment schedules. The Building Control System is the door that lets a handful of trusted volunteers open that system from off site, so a sanctuary that is cold on a Saturday night can be fixed before Sunday morning without a drive to Rowland Road.
It is not a public service, it has no sign-up, and it is not offered to anyone outside the congregation.

You will be asked to sign in with Google. If your address is not on the list, you will not be let through.
How sign-in works
- You sign in with your existing Google account. There is no separate password to create or remember.
- Google tells us the email address on that account.
- We compare that address to a short list the church keeps. If it matches, you reach the building automation system. If it does not, you are turned away.
- That email address is the only thing the check uses. We do not read your mail, your contacts, your calendar, or your files, and we could not if we wanted to.
- The building automation system has its own separate sign-in. Getting through the Google check does not, by itself, put you inside it.
The full detail is in the privacy policy.
Requesting access
Access is granted by the church, one person at a time, and it is not something you can sign up for. If you help maintain the building and you need it, speak to whoever administers the building systems and tell them which Google account to add.
